Whenua Ora / Upon the Land
Between Papatuuaanuku and Ranginui, the Earth Mother and Sky Father, there is a space; this is called the waa, the space where we live.
This selection of artists considers the various events and phenomena of their own time and of that of their tuupuna (ancestors). They are of the land and they are upon the land. Features works by Shane Cotton, Zena Elliott, Toi Te Rito Maihi, Dion Hitchens and others.
