Apply now for regionally-allocated PLD for Term 3

Educators are urged to act quickly to benefit from next term’s raft of PLD funding as applications close on 6 August for regionally-allocated funds.

Firstly, identify your PLD priority. Regionally-allocated PLD must align with one or more of the PLD priorities. Aligning with a PLD priority is one of the criteria for applications.

Find out all the criteria for applications and what regional allocation panels look for in an application.

You can select more than one priority. Panels look at how well your request aligns with the chosen priorities and the needs identified in your region, rather than how many priorities you select.

Draft your application

You can draft your application directly into the online PLD system. Each section will save as you go, so you can log off and complete your application later.

You may like to draft your application in a separate document, and copy and paste your answers into the system later. A ‘drafting your PLD proposal’ worksheet can be downloaded from help and guides to support you.

In the online PLD system answers have a 2,500 character limit, including spaces (approx. 250–350 words).

In your application, answer these questions:

  • What do you want to achieve with this PLD? What journey is your kura, school, cluster or Kāhui Ako on that this proposal will contribute to?
  • Why do you want to do this PLD? What evidence are you using to show that this proposal will support your journey?
  • How will you measure if this PLD is successful? How might it contribute to growing your kaiako, teachers, school leaders or tumuaki?
  • How will this PLD contribute to growing your ākonga and students?
