Creating Trauma-Responsive Schools Across Aotearoa

In today’s educational landscape, educators often grapple with the profound impact of complex developmental trauma on tamariki and rangatahi. This has created a pressing need for effective understanding and support strategies. At Immerse, we recognise the urgency of adopting a trauma-informed approach to teaching, that is critical for navigating the unique challenges presented by individual tamariki.

Our innovative, ‘Creating Trauma-Responsive Schools’ training, is designed to empower educators with the tools they need to comprehend and respond effectively to the behavioural nuances resulting from trauma. Grounded in Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) and trauma-informed research, this programme equips educators with practical strategies tailored to nurture a conducive learning environment.
